Position: Professor and Rector of Czestochowa University of Technology (Poland, EU), Head of the Department of Logistics and International Management at the Faculty of Management, Czestochowa University of Technology, Visiting professor at AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland, EU).

 

Career and Research Interest:
Prof. Nowicka-Skowron was the first Dean of the Faculty of Management (1997-1999), Vice-Rector for Development and International Cooperation (1999-2002), Vice-Rector for Science and Research (2002-2005) and again was re-elected Dean of the Faculty of Management (2005-2008). Coordinated Tempus Programme (1995-1998) and actively participated in the Socrates Programme. Cooperated with numerous institutions and enterprises. Published more than 190 titles, including 6 monographs and over 80 papers issued in international journals. Involved in a number of other scientific activities (grants, projects, freelance scientific activities, expert opinions, etc). Reviewer of more than 70 doctorates, habilitated doctor degrees and professorships. Organizer of 16 scientific conferences as well as a scientific committee member of other national and international conferences. Participated in many academic programmes at foreign universities in Austria, Ireland, USA, Belgium and France, and in traineeships in Polish industrial companies. The Polish Academy of Sciences Committee Member, Katowice Department. Since 1st January 2015 has been presiding this body.
